So my favorite new craft is making baby shoes. It is pretty easy and the outcome is out of this world cute! Well it all started cause I wanted to get some shoes for her feet cause her socks always come off. I was at Target and saw some Bobux shoes and then remembered Austin wearing some similar ones and thinking hey I want those but my wise husband pointed out that 13.00 dollars for a pair of baby shoes was out of our price range (mind you we are super cheap...we went to goodwill yesterday and asked if they had a $1 rack...the lady just kinda looked at me and said no mam we don't have a sale rack here.) Anyway then it dawned on me that we might be able to make some so I hopped online and found this pattern for cloth baby shoes. BABY SHOES Anyway, so they are way cheap to make cause it takes very little fabric to make them. We just went to the remants section and found some really cheap stuff. Levin and I made 2 of them out of corduroy and 1 from an old wool sweater. If you search leather soled baby shoes there are tons of cute ideas out there for embellishments. We also made two other pairs for my cousin's baby (1 month old ~9lbs). The pattern on the website fits Ansley's foot (7.5 months ~15.5 lbs) to a tee so we had to make the pattern bigger so she can wear them longer. Happy crafting!
