Easter Festivities

I love this time of year when all the flowers start to bloom and the sun stays out longer and the birds become twitter patted. I love relearning and concentrating on the most precious gift we have, Salvation given to us by the sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ. I love getting together with family and dressing up the little ones. This year we all got together at my grandma's house. We ate ridiculous amounts of food, played some games and let enjoyed watching Ansley all grown up (well she has some growing to do but wow she has changed so much.) The egg hunt was a little lame cause the little kids are still so little and we hid too many eggs for them to find, but it was still fun. We are used to having so many kids that it was a competition to see who could find the most eggs. Poor Kaira was sick but we just had to get some photos of Kaira, Ansley and Sonni all together. They are going to be best of friends.

The day before Easter, on my grandpa Adamas' birthday we made a special trip down to Kibbee, GA to decide how to finalize the headstone for the grave site. We also meet with grandpa's cousin James and his wife Undine Fortner. It was fun to talk story with them and remember my grandpa and what a good man he was. James is the son of my grandpa's aunt Normie whom he loved like his own mother. Normie was sister to grandpa's dad.

When Daddy goes to work....

We got some good news lately that Levin got a job! It's not the ideal job but it is a good stepping stone to help build his resume. He is working at the new Chick-fil-A in town. He has been busy with training and getting ready for the store to open on Thursday. I don't want Levin to miss any of Ansley's cute leaps and bounds so I am going to try to be more diligent in recording them. Today we babysat my cousin's baby Kaira who is 3 months old. Ansley is so cute with her. Ansley is on the verge of walking, I can feel it. Well, she has to get the courage to stand up by herself but what she did today definately will help her into walking. I'm not sure if I'm ready for her to walk but ready or not she will be. She cut her third tooth today the top left tooth and the other three top ones are on their way. She also gained close to a pound in a week! I couldn't believe it but she's almost 20 lbs now! She really is starting to chunk up! She is also starting to say words. I'm pretty sure she says "all done," "yoda," and I swore I heard diaper this morning and of course mama and dada. She also says nana when she wants more. She's not going for the "more" sign language training. That's really the only one we have tried to teach her.

Projects

March just flew by....I've been busy watching babies and helping mom who just got shoulder surgery. I've also been trying to work on projects around the house. So I tackled this ridiculous blue chair. I made a custom slipcover for it by putting the fabric on it wrong side up and pinning the seams together. Then I just sewed all the seams put it on the chair...tweaked it a little and this when it was somewhat to my liking we pinned it onto the chair. As my aunt would say it just makes my eye look happy.

The love of talking begins

We hosted Levin's mom this week unfortunately because she/we attended the funeral of her brother Charlie and his wife who were tragically killed in a car wreck. The funeral was very nice and it was good to see and meet family that Ansley and I had never met. When Grandpa Gunter called Ansley enjoyed talking with him.
