Sunglasses

Well we went to Walmart last night to meet up with this guy to buy a car that Levin and Gordon bought. To pass the time I tried on some sunglasses on Ansley. I was giggling like a school girl. It was so much fun. She was so good and didn't try to pull them off or anything. I'm thinking about getting her some maybe at the swap meet. Hopefully they will be a bit cheaper than Wally world.

Happy 24th Levin!

Last Wednesday was Levin's 24th Birthday. I am so glad that he was born and that he is my hubby and such a sweet man. On Saturday we had a little BBQ to celebrate. William and Ansley had fun playing together. Here is the coverage of that sweet event!

Her First Pair of Jeans

Here is Ansley with her first pair of jeans. The tag says 18M on them but they fit her like a glove at 4 months. They must be referring to really skinny kids or something. I felt like a professional photographer snapping these shots. I would say her name and she looked at me instead of the orange light on the camera, it was great! I wish it were colder here. She couldn't wear this outfit for too long cause it was just too hot in jeans and a long sleeve onesie Levin was making fun of me because I started collecting long sleeved stuff out of the freebie bin. Well she will need them in December when we head back home.

Like Mommy or Daddy?

So I was just looking at some photos of me and Levin when we were babies and I really have decided that she is a good mix of both of us. Ansley got mommy's eye shape but Daddy's blue eyes. She got mommy's dark hair and Daddy's lips. Levin and I both have a similar face shape so there was no guessing there. Nose is still up for grabs methinks. Anyway she is cute thats for sure!

All Giggles

Ansley just started giggling a little bit but it has proven hard to capture on film. Every time we would get her to giggle she would stop before the camera came out or she would just stare at the orange light on the camera and therefore making her stop giggling. I managed to get it while we were in the car. Here is Ansley and her giggling debut.

ABC's of Ansley

I made this for Ansley's Grandmas. I printed out the pics so they could both have something to show to everyone (even the unsuspecting random lady at Walmart). Levin and I had a blast staging some of these photos.

Baby Friends

I decided it would be fun to start getting pictures of Ansley with the other babies that we know. Most of the moms are ones who suffered through pregnancy the same time I did. One day Ansley might get to meet some of these kids when they are older and so I thought it would be really cool to have pictures of them together when they were babies. Kids come in all shapes and sizes but are all so cute.

The first one is Raegan Huish. She is just this sweet mellow baby who is just so cute. She is the daughter of Lindsey and Seth, one of the first couples we met when we got here, at a Halloween party hosted by the Heiselts. I could tell then that they were really cool, down to earth people and then they ended up in our new ward. Rae is about 3 months older than Ansley. In this picture she is almost 6 months and Ansley is almost 3 months. Lindsey and I would talk pregnancy alot. As she progressed I asked her all kinds of questions, trying to get the inside scoop to what was in store for me.

The next cutie is Ruth Salusi. She is the daughter of Toa and Kellie. Kellie was one of my visiting teachers and was very faithful at coming to visit me. She and her companion were so sweet. They would come over and we would chat about how excited we were about our babies coming. Ruth is also just over 3 months older than Ansley. Ruth is such a beautiful baby with stunning dark eyes and this cute little long tuft of hair on the top of her head ;).

Next is Jacob Millar. He is 4 months older than Ansley. So in this picture he is 7 months and Ansley is 3 months. He is the son of Mark and Bonita Millar, who we met in the 6th ward. They are such a sweet family. She is from Cambodia and Mark is from Australia. Jacob is one of the craziest mixes I've ever met, only could happen at BYU-H! He is so handsome. Ansley was really cranky in this picture!

We met Will and Ting Ellis through the concert choir. Levin and Will went to China and Mongolia and left poor Ting and I at home. Will was in my organic lab and he would ask me how I knew Levin was the right one. Well he figured out that Ting was the right one and they got engaged. They got married right after Will got back. Ting and I bonded in the airport waiting for them to get off the plane. Noelle Ellis was born one week after Ansley. She was a cute little baby but then started growing at a faster rate than Ansley. She is a darling Taiwanese /American mix. She has very Asian eyes with blondish hair...go figure!

There is another little boy named Jacob too! Jacob Beavin, son of Dodie and Issac Beavin. These guys moved into our ward and Dodie served as muisc director for me while I was primary president. Jacob was born in September just before we found out that we were pregnant with Ansley. I remember I drove with Amber to take Dodie's mom to the hospital to see Dodie and the baby and she asked us when we went wanted to have kids and I said well I could be pregnant now, just waiting anyday to see if I would miss my monthly gift from mother nature. Well I really was pregnant so that makes Jacob about 8 months older than Ansley. I remember at the hosptial I couldn't get over how long Jacob's fingers were. I thought they looked like Kermit the Frog Fingers! They were so cute. I will always remember Dodie and Issac as the party people. They love to party and would frequent the bonfires we hosted.

One who just left is Daria Naone, daughter of Tina and Ammon Naone. He is Hawaiian and she is from Singapore. This little girl is petite and so cute. I had the opportunity to visit teach Tina in the months before they left and Ammon came over to take advantage of Levin's sewing skills. They are very sweet people. Ammon is about to join the marines and then they are moving to Virgina. East coast...maybe we will see them again. Daria is about ten months in this picture and Ansley three months. Again it was late and Ansley was ready for bed!

Most of the babies we know are older than Ansley but Kennedy Lang is about 3 months younger than Ansley. She was born in late August. She is the daughter of Carissa and Johnny Lang. Levin also went on tour to China with Johnny and they would talk about their lady friends (i.e. me and Carissa) who got left behind. Both Johnny and Carissa are from Canada but Johnny is half Japanese so that's why little Kennedy has cute little Asian eyes. These guys are great and we are so happy Kennedy is finally here.

William Nielson is the oldest of the kids. He is the son of Jessica and Eric Nielson. Will is almost 2 years old. He was our favorite kid until Ansley came along of course, so now he is a close second. The sweetest outgoing lovable kid you will meet. Jessica was my first real friend that I had out here in Hawaii. She and I were visiting teaching companions...good old visiting teaching. She is my card/scrapbooking buddy too. She was a big reason I joined the blogging world. We have so many stories with them. Many BBQ's and birthday parties and trips to savers! They are awesome and we love spending time with them.

And then there is Malachai Tafuna. He is the son of Tui and Sarah Tafuna. He is Tongan and she is from New Zealand. Sarah and Tui were in our birthing class and we met them from a mutual friend Rebecca. Malachai is just a few days younger than Ansley. He has just sprouted like a weed, way faster than miss Ansley. Sarah and I spent those last two weeks swapping updates hoping that we would both go into labor any minute. They also live in our building at TVA.

I am really happy to know so many cool people from all over the world. We really do love Hawaii and we will miss this wonderful place, but we will never forget all the good times we had here.

Gimme that pasta!

So Ansley is really getting good at grabbing things...I think I mentioned that. Well, I was eating lunch today with her laying on my lap and she reached up and grabbed a handful of my spaghetti! I couldn't help it. I shouted to Levin to grab the camera! It shocked me that she reached up for the oh so yummy pasta. We love this little one and all her rascalness!

3 months old

So I don't forget here are all the accomplishments of Ansley so far. She can make noises (cooing), she can buzz her lips and make bubbles. She can lft her head up perfectly and has gotten alot more coordination in her hands. She can grab onto her toy and bring it to her mouth. Lately she loves sucking on her hands and drools so much that a bib is on her most of the time. She can roll over from back to front and can stand up when we hold her hands. She loves to pull mommy's hair and her jewelry. She uses her legs to push off things and when she can get her toes into the mattress she has turned herself around in her crib (that's kinda scooting right). She loves to smile and go for walks. She is blossoming everyday with something new and we love her.
